Where to begin! This place has been incredible from start to finish. The lit tree! The stocking! The hamper, the crate and the cake! Cabin life here has been so perfect, you've clearly considered every tiny detail and it has been beyond cosy. And what a location - the dark skies! Unreal! Big thanks for arranging for arranging our pottery lesson too. Thanks for everything, you've truly surpassed yourselves - we're off to convert our cottage into Woodcock Cabin in every way we can!

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would.
A completely different take on the idea of 'luxury'. On paper, the idea of an off-grid cabin seems quite basic; solar electricity enough for lighting and not much more, camping-style gas powered cooking facilities, and spring fed running cold water. But there is no doubt Woodcock Cabin is completely luxurious; cosy heat inside from the log-burner, a consistently hot outdoor shower, and all the wood you could ever need for fabulous firepit cooking and the glorious hot tub under a big sky.

The cabin itself is beautifully crafted, comfortable, well appointed, and of course in a simply stunning location. On top of that, the attention to detail in furnishing and the little touches was absolutely spot on - locally hand made pottery pieces and ironmongery, comfy rugs and throws, games and books, local guides and maps, all the essentials you'd expect and everything besides, and the "Crate of Convenience" is a nice touch for anything you might have forgotten to pack (or if, like us, you run out of wine on the last night...).
Recommendations from the owners for a pottery lesson and a meal out at Y Ffarmers were good shouts too, thoroughly enjoyed both.
Our first trip was a 'mini-moon' after getting married - I have a strong suspicion it won't be our last visit. The perfect bolthole to escape from busy real lives for a few days.

What a beautiful little corner of the World you've brought together here, and a place full of crafts of artisans from your community. We're from the Willamette Valley in Oregon, which looks a bit like this part of Wales, but we live in London now and needed to get back out into the rain and trees to feel grounded. This was the perfect place for it! It rained 90% of the time (a few perfectly timed breaks for grilling and walking) and we watched and heard the creek grow as the rain went on. We barely used the solar lights at all, ant the hot tub stayed warm overnight which made for excellent morning dips. You have truly thought of everything and we loved every minute of our time here.

Both our reactions on arriving at the cabin, were that we couldn't believe such a place existed! We were lucky enough to arrive with glorious sunshine - it was literally like a dream turning the final corner to see the cabin. Thank you for such a wonderful stay - it feels like every little want has been considered here such that while you feel fully at one with nature and able to completely switch off, you can also easily cook a great dinner, sleep in a comfy bed and whip up a hot chocolate before bed! We loved every minute of our stay here, from reading peacefully in the morning, to hot showers after long walks, and lying in the tub gazing at the stars. We love coming to Wales but coming here has been our favorite yet, thanks to this place. We will definitely be back!

WOW! Words cannot describe what a remarkable and breathtaking place this is! We could not have asked for a better way to celebrate our anniversary, the Luxury Dark Skies Campfire Hamper went down an absolute treat. What an idyllic and beautiful hideaway! I couldn't have asked for a better 30th birthday present. Thank you for the extra little touches making it special. The cabins decor is simply stunning and we had everything we needed and more. The hot chocolate, marshmallows & biscuits went down a treat. We enjoyed prosecco in the hot tub, snoozing in the hammock and campfire dinners! We took a trip to the cavern cascade and the green route gorge walk to the gothic arch, both of which were incredibly beautiful. It was so peaceful and it felt like we had the whole estate to oursleves. Thank you again for a trip of a life time! We hope to return again soon.

Thanks for creating the perfect hide-away for a couple of amateur nature lovers! We've thoroughly enjoyed spending our time bimbling about the cabin and surrounding areas - even with our dodgy knees! The attention to detail in the cabin is perfect - dont change a thing - everything has been noted by 'C' who has been inspired to create a more nature inspired interior when she gets home. Both the breakfast & supper crates have exceeded our expectations!

It feels like all distractions of the world melted away. It feels like we were enveloped in a pocket of heaven, where nature cushions you. This place is one of magical memory making moments, where even though we are both in our fifties, we have found the children within, making camp fires, exploring the estate, paddling, jumping rocks, swinging in our hammocks and laughing. We did plan to explore more of the estate but have been so happy to stay and enjoy our wonderful camp, that we didn't want to go far! Thank you so much for sharing this corner of heaven. Magical!

This place is amazing. From entering the Hafod estate and driving through the stunning landscape, to parking and walking down to the magical cabin in the woods, it keeps giving. The cabin is so beautiful and thoughtfully decorated, it was the best place to spend our 25th anniversary. We had a lovely day walking the paths round the estate then had a rainy day spent in front of the log burner reading, painting and even having a dip in the stream before going in the hot tub.
We also booked a pottery lesson, that is an experience which we loved.
Pip and Lee have been brilliant throughout our stay and so helpful and accommodating, nothing is any trouble. The breakfast hamper made by Pip was fantastic and I loved cooking it. We will be back!

We have had an amazing stay at Woodcock Cabin! We loved all the extras, the highlight for us was the outdoor shower & seeing woodpeckers in the morning. Life has been quite overwhelming for us both recently so this has been the perfect place for us to reset & have a break. We can't thank you enough. What a wonderful place you have built here. We could not fault a thing. A cosy cabin, stunning views, great walks, lovely people. It rained quite a bit but that didn't take away the beauty of the place, or our enjoyment.
We often seek out 'off grid' secluded cabins and this is one of the best we have stayed at. I think we will miss the sound of the water & fire. It has been such a relaxing weekend and we do not look forward to going back to the city.

We could not have asked for a more relaxing & peaceful stay. It's very clear a lot of time, attention & love has gone into the cabin & the details are really appreciated, from the cosy sheepskins to the marshmallows & hot chocolate! The night we arrived was very rainy, so we got to experience the cabin at its very best with the fire roaring & dinner by candlelight. The hot tub was definitely a highlight - love that it stays warm for so long so we could enjoy it the next morning too! We spent all Sunday walking around the Estate enjoying the stunning scenery & identifying all the wild mushrooms! Thank you for creating such a special place to switch off, reconnect & make memories! Well, I'm not sure any words can do this place justice. I chose to come here to celebrate my retirement so I could switch off to the world & reset. This place did not disappoint. From the moment we arrived & started our wheelbarrow journey down the path, which opened up to into this idyllic spot, I was mesmerized. What a truly tranquil space. You have thought of every little detail to make this such a memorable trip from the personal touches to the hot chocolate & marshmallows, it is truly tremendous. Every time i thought of something it was already catered for including a map rain cover. You have created a truly spectacular place and I will be telling everyone. We don't want to leave & ensure we will be back!

Woodcock Cabin is so beautiful, in a gem of a location! This was our first time off-grid and it was absolutely brilliant, just what was needed to hit the pause button from the hectic speed of life - to connect back to the environment and nature......and relax! All the wonderful little touches were great to discover, from the cookies to marshmallows.....and a BIG thank you for the scrummy chocolate cake you made with the chocolate dipped strawberries & cherries for our wedding anniversary! We loved watching the wildlife, especially the woodpeckers and the highland cattle just over the stream! Thank you, Woodcock Cabin is a truly special place.

Thank you for an incredible stay! Despite having grown up in rural West Wales we were blown away by the tranquility & beauty of this spot. The cabin itself, was perfect, such a lovely structure with well thought out details. It was the perfect place to unwind after the stress of organising our wonderful Wedding last week! We both love nature but being here was such an amazing opportunity to take it all in. We already can't wait to return to this amazing place.

Driving into the estate, we were stunned. We didn't think it could get any better until we came round the corner, took a wheelbarrow of bags down until ........ the light hitting the bluebells and seeing this amazing cabin on stilts! All we can say is Wow, what an amazing, simply enchanting hideaway from the stresses and strains, hustle & bustle of 'normal life'! As we sit here on our last evening, with the comforting sound of the water, the sound of the last birds of the evening, we are both really relaxed for the first time in a long time. The hot tub is amazing. The scenery is beautiful and we both talked and laughed a lot! At any given moment, I imagined Fairies & Ents to appear! Beautiful place!

Two days of sunshine slotting through the trees, hot tub under dark skies & even a plunge in the water for one of us! Everything in this cabin was spot on - mattress very comfy, log burner very efficient, shower glorious & such a great view! Definitely added to the 'do it again' list. A delightful surprise - the pictures don't do either the cabin or the location justice. Everything's been thought of - couldn't have been a more perfect stay.

A belated birthday present ...so much better than something materialistic! Our first few days featured walks through the mystical Hafod Estate & it swiftly became our 'happy place'. So wonderful to have found this Hideaway, already discussing plans to return! We've just chilled & enjoyed walking upstream collecting fallen twigs & wood for the campfire, watching the wildlife & the buds gradually opening during our stay. M even braves several plunges in a pool further upstream - i just waited in the hot tub!! What a place you've created! What a bank of memories it will create for so many! Thank you.

What an absolute gem of a place. Just what the doctor ordered. Our three night stay at Woodcock Cabin was a surprise 50th treat from my wife! It couldn't have been anymore perfect. From getting cosy by the log burner, to relaxing in the hot tub and even doing a thing called ........reading books! This is the place to push that reset button. Looking forward to our next stay!

Where to start! What an amazing place and just what we needed. We both love it here, the simplicity of life in an off-grid cabin with amazingly well thought out touches. Set in stunning surroundings what more could you ask for? We had planned to go out to eat one night but couldn't bear to be away from this slice of heaven for too long, so never did. Instead we enjoyed cooking, eating and just relaxing here. We did venture out to Penrhiw Pottery for a lesson with Dave & Anouska - what a treat - and great fun too! Mostly we've just enjoyed the peace and quiet of this haven you've created. We will be back - cant wait!

Absolutely delightful cabin in such a tranquil location. The river being a balm to the soul & the hot-tub, a glimpse of heaven! As winter closes in, the cabin provided the perfect refuge. An amazing and magical place, the owls and foxes cried out, the rain hitting the roof and the fire kept us so warm. Thank you so much for the hamper goodies and building such a beautiful cabin. It doesn't get better than this. We leave with a restful mind, back to our far too busy, on-line lives.

3.5hrs and we arrived at the amazing Hafod Estate. Woodcock Cabin is devine! We arrived in the rain on Monday and it rained heavily on Tuesday but we managed a short walk in the afternoon. We have enjoyed 3 delicious meals out at The Hafod, Y Ffarmers & Y Talbot and couldn't fault them. Our highlight was the amazing pottery lesson we had at Penrhew Pottery with Dave & Anouska. We cannot sing the praises of this delightful couple anymore! Talent is an understatement!
The cabin is so beautiful Lee & Pip, you have made a special retreat and have thought of everything. The toilet took us a little getting used to but the hot tub and shower were fantastic. We cooked a hearty breakfast before doing a 10k walk - WOW!! The scenery is like nothing else... We will leave relaxed and recharged. We didn't realise how much we needed this break away. We are absolutely sure this will not be our last visit here and we'd love to spend another week here in the summer. Thank you for making our stay so special, we've made some lovely memories!

When I first saw photos of Woodcock Cabin we weren't actually looking for a holiday, but once I'd seen the pictures, I knew we had to stay! So I booked this as a Birthday treat for N, and what a treat this was. The photos look amazing and really do draw you in, but what they don't capture, is all the little, well thought out extras & essentials. We are holiday accommodation owners ourselves and can fully appreciate all the hard work you have put into the cabin and surroundings. It is a credit to you both.

The thing that struck us the most about this place, in addition to the beauty of the landscape and cabin, was the love and attention put into every single detail. Everything has been thought through, having a place and a purpose. There is nothing extraneous, and yet every need has been anticipated and provided for before the need is even realised. Staying here gave us an opportunity to reconnect with nature, oursleves & each other. We really enjoyed the daily task of preparing food, washing dishes and keeping the fires lit. Soaking in the hot tub, sitting by the fire and exploring the local trails were some of the activities we loved most. We are grateful for our time here. My first impression as I turned the corner was 'I have arrived in heaven' - I had no words, just overcome with a feeling of peace & tranquility. I would say I am very OCD, I like tidy and organised - I was unable to find fault at all. I always say nothing is perfect but for this trip and my wife's 40th birthday, this has been perfect in every way. I cannot commend Pip & Lee enough for their attention to detail, nothing left to chance, everything so well thought out and positioned. There is so much I could say, I could just go on and on. There is one thing i know for sure, we will be back.
